I have one cory cat and he acts demented -- sliding up and down the tank for hours. I worry that he has a problem. Should I get another cory to keep him company, or would I just have two demented fish?

Don't worry - cories are like that!!! They're so cute and active and whizzy  lol

About getting him a friend, I'd say yes. Cories like to be kept in groups of 3 or more so you could get a couple more (hey, more fish, who's gonna complain about that?! ).

Hi victoriamac :)

Welcome to the forum. :flowers:

Corys are playful little fish, but they should be kept in schools. Without a few friends around they are often timid and easily frightened.

Please try to get him at least two companions. :D

I imagine he is getting used to your tank, they usualy suck in air from the surface then swim back to the bottom.
And for sure you should get more of them, they're too cool not to have.

My two albinos swim around the tank like upper-level fish. :D

They're just having fun. Add a few more if you can.
