hey all,
the other day i got 10 small crayfish for my oscars to eat. but i sort of misjudged the size of them and there are still about five left. my question is will the oscars grow quicker then the crays and eat them or the other way round, or are the oscars just being wimps as ive seen him bite the claw of one when it got a bit personal.
the oscars are about an inche and a half longer then the crays and im not feeding the crays, just what they find. i will feed them if they last a couple of weeks.
or should i just remove all but one of the crays as it would be cool to keep one.

I don't know whether the cichlids will end up eating the crayfish or not, but if they don't in a few days, than you should probably remove them all. As it is, the crayfish will probably nip at the fins of any fish passing close enough; if you let him get big enough, he will try to eat the fish, that is their natural instinct. IMO, crayfish should NEVER be kept with fish, they are a hazard to them!!!
