crabs from the beach

hi i have a 5gal tank with a fluval filter and sand and fake plants and i might get seaweed if its ok but what i want is a small crab from the beach i will add special salt to the water will it work or is it unfair on the crab ??

I considered a similar tank a while back, but when I discovered that to keep cold-water marine creatures alive for longer than a few weeks I'd need a chiller, I scrapped the idea.

In a normal home a tank without a heater will be room temperature of 20-25c, far too warm for creatures from the Bristol Channel for any length of time.
