Crab gone

Hav not seen my rcc for weeks now, so thought I would have a propper look for it and its gone. Pulled up everything, checked the filter and dug about in the gravel but nothing.
I don't understand where it could have gone, it was quite big and I don't think the fish could eat it if they tryed??

My guess is also outside the tank.

Hours to days, depending on how moist the air is.

never had no sign of the crab again, bit suprised as I was under the impression that crabs stunk when they were dead but no smell or no sign??

i had two and they ended up 20 feet away from the tank. one was dead but they had only been out a few hours. it may not smell as the insides will rot and not the outside. you may need to pull th room apart to find it.

I also had one which got out and died - they're deceptively good climbers, which is how they can get out of small gaps in tank lids.
