Fish Crazy
Hi again,
We have recently purchased a new tank the Peak Aquatic Premier Cube, will enclose the link so you know what i'm referring to. http
/www.peakaquatics.com/products_premier.html the dimensions of the tank are 530mm x 800mm x 530mm which is a 50 gallon i think. Unfortunately the tank didn't come with any kind of instructions
Anyhow my first question is the filter system that came with the tank it is a biological filtration bio 3000 "wet/dry" filteration system with integrated pump! This is way over my head, have browsed on the net can't find anything relating to this filter apart from this picture http
/www.peakaquatics.com/products_premier.html the problem we have with the filter is at the moment it is fully submerged under the water, the clear tube at the top (which I am assuming is to aerate that tank) is half full of water, and we can't actually see anything working
is the top of the filter supposed to be out of the water? It also states it has an intergated pump, is this for the aerator?
Second question is as the tank is quite deep - 800 mm, i am going to stuggle for plant life. It is a double lighting system on the top of the tank with two 15 watt aqua glo bulbs i don't think this lighting is sufficient for the plant life. The LFS (who don't seem to know what they are talking about) have recommended adding just 1 power-glo 40 watt bulb for the plant life. Does anyone have any idea if this would work, or any recommendations to resolve this.
Many thanks in advance, i am already
loving my new hobby even though i have no fish yet!!
