HI everyone.

I am looking to get a tropical aquarium set up in my bedroom, we recently set up baby biOrb in our kitchen and it is very noisy....can anyone recommend a quieter option, which would still enable me to get sleep, lol?

It will also need to be bigger than the baby biOrb as I would like to put a couple of angelfish in it.

I look forward to recieving the responses.

Thanks in advance.

I think angels need at least a thirty gallon, but the tank has to be tall, I think it's something like 18 inches? I use power filters, they are very quiet when the water level is at the right height.

What do you have in the bio orb thing right now?

I am also a beginner, and have only set up my first tank in the last few weeks. I am using a Juwel Rekord 70 with the equivalent Juwel filter/heater/air pump that were supplied in the package. The setup is being operated in my bedroom and I have to say that I cannot even hear any noise unless I am close to the tank. I would highly recommend these to others.

I currently only have 3 neon tetras in the biOrb, I will be getting another 3 tetras next week hopefully!

Thanks alot I will have a look at the Jewel rekord 70, i would ideally like everything to be in a package so that sounds great. But the fact that its silent is even better, i cant sleep unless its in complete silence, lol.

Cheers guys!

Tanya

Hi,

Really don't think the Rekord 70 would be big enough for Angelfish - need something more like the 120 in terms of height.

:)

Have a look at this page . . . http://www.juwel-aquarium.de/en/index.htm

That is the offical Juwel website, you should also be able to locate a stockist near you. Following on from what KimA said, there are bigger tanks available from Juwel, you would have to see which suits you best.
