Couple Of Questions About Tropica

Might be better to use gravel I imagine sand would get very messed up quite quickly, haven't used the ferts but I believe they are excellent so would have no doubts on that score.

If by ferts you mean the plant nutrition, its widely regarded as the best you can get.

Gravel would be better than sand, it won't mix as easily. I'm using the substrate and ferts in my nano with some good results.

I've heard the substrate is very good, and like the others, I would advise you to use gravel rather than sand.

1-3mm lime-free gravel would be best over a 1cm layer of Tropica Plant Substrate.

The Tropica AquaCare Nutrition liquid is excellent. I won't use any other trace. If you have low fish load, and good growth with lots of plants then you may be better with Nutrition+ as this also contains NP, that may go deficient otherwise.

Good luck.

I've been using Plant Nutriotion (Not +) for about 3 weeks now in my heavy heavy fish load tank, and before I had lots of Algae growing on the leaves of my amazon swords (under low light). Since using Tropica PL it has started to disappear. although slowly.

A+ (And the plants are growing fast fast fast (again under low light) especially Ludwigia Repens, which almost doubles in size each week, and I have to keep pruning it back.
