I don't have a camera, but my adult molly is starting to get a little round, I noticed. Just a tiny bit. She is solid white but I think I might be able to see a gravid spot. The thing is, my only male is less than 3 months old and barely an inch long. Is it possible that he could be sexually mature already? When does a male molly become fertile?

When did you get this Molly? Livebearers are generally already pregnant from the store. As livebearers store sperm, she may give birth up to six times, about once a month, just from one mating. Female Mollies generally begin to be sexually mature about three months. Males I believe take a bit longer normally. Someone correct me on that if I am wrong.

As far as a gravid spot goes, it is always there. It just becomes more pronounced during pregnancy as the developing fry block light from passing through the translucent bodies.

mollys as a rule may not show a gravid stop, but if she has put on weight and looking rounded then she'll be pregnant.

I got her a long time ago but I think she was only pregnant once (if she dropped all the fry were eaten) I haven't seen her "get fat" in over five months. Maybe she's just getting fat? It's a mystery.....

some times you dont know if they are preg at times, one of mines gave birth and i didnt know that until when i looked at all the females are belly was gone down lol :)
