My betta won't eat his brine shrimp anymore. He will only eat the pellets. He used to love the stuff and it has always been frozen. Could it be to cold. Should I thaw it before feeding? I'm conditiong for breeding and he won't eat it anymore and it can't possibly be as nutritional for him to eat pellets over shrimp. Help please....thanks

yes it should always be thawed out before feeding to him, conditioning on just pellets is fine, sometimes i use just pellets as my customers buy all my live and frozen food and all my spawning are successful.

ok cool thats god to know and what kind of pellets do you use I have hikari pellets are those good, how long eactly do you think I should condition a betta before thier first time spawning? He has been conditioning for maybe 2-3 weeks. The female has been conditioning for like a few days maybe 5 or 6.

i use aquaone pellets, they should always be condtioned before spawning regadless if its their first time or not, the male should be ready now, the female needs longer.
