Coulld I have a jack dempsey, firemouth,1 rubberlip pleco and 6 corys in a 55g-75g fishtank?
Could I add anymore fish?
Are jack dempseys FUN?

You may be pushing it, but you would probably get away with it. The JD may find the corys as food if they are small enough. To answer your question if JD's are fun, the answer is yes and no; they are very beautiful specimens, but they usually claim part of the tank as their own and stay in the area and dont come out much besides feeding time or to chase of a tank mate

ok I have read that they can reach to be about 8-9 inches long?
If i didnt get one could I get 2 firemouths instead with 6 corys,1 rubberlip,5 bueno aires in there

They can get even bigger than 9 inches in some cases. My Jack never liked any tank mates except his little catfish buddy. Any other fish I tried to introduce when he was still a baby, got the life beat out of them and I would have to return them. Or they would end up as a midnight snack. Just because something doesn't fit in his mouth doesn't mean he can't eat it.

ok so 2 firemouths,1 rubberlip pleco,5 bueno aires tetras,6 corys and a couple snails

I've never kept firemouths, so I can't vouch for their temperaments. Have you read up on all the species that you plan on getting? Their adult sizes, ph preferences, diet, aggression, temperature? Just curious as to why you're getting the snails if you're getting a pleco?

well i dont really need the snails but I will probabally have sand and they say that I think malisiayn trumpet snails trudge through the sand and help preventing gas pockets

the snails would be for my substrate which will most likely be sand because they say that they trudge through the sand to help prevent gas pockets and yes I have done research on all the fish and they seem to be fine together

Mind if I ask a few other questions? I'm just curious as to how you're going about doing this. Is the tank already established and cycled? If not, how are you going to cycle it? What kind of filter are you going to be using?

no i do not have the tank yet im just preplanning to make sure that I get the right size fish and that I dont overstock
The filter I will most likley be using will be a penguin 350

your stocking sounds good. you may be able to get away with 1 or 2 more firemouths and 3 more buenes aires tetras
