Could i get like a 7-10 gallon bucket and put an airator, and a heater into it and use it for a fry tank, my mum wont let me have any tanks and i figure she wont care if i put it in the corner with a heater and an airator.
would it be ok for just small guppy fry. And then when they get big i will put them in the community tank or sell them

As long as the bucket is clean and rinsed well, there shouldn't be a problem. It's essentially a tank, but you can't see into it except through the top.

yes that fine, u use all sorts of stuff to keep fry in for short periods of time, so a bucket of that is fine

I forgot to mention that you should make sure the bucket hasn't been used for anything else that might make it poisonous to the fish. It's safer to get a new bucket than try to rinse one many times.

Yeh, of course, im going to get a new one.
and could i use the 5 minute sponge filter under the DIY section for the bucket

There is no reason why you couldn't do it. It will give a place for bacteria to grow and circulate your water a bit. I would still do 50% water changes weekly though, making sure you make replacement water temperature as close to the water you are replacing.
