hey

can i keep a cockatoo cichlid in a tank with 2 GBR's, a baby BN pleco and a flying fox?

20gal tank

2 biological filters

happy fishes :)

GBRs = German blue rams???

how long is a 20g tank?

you can keep blue rams with Apistogramma cacatuoides in tanks that are 3ft or longer. But if the tank is only 2ft long, then they will probably argue.

Plecos and flying foxes will be fine with rams and cacatuoides.

hey

yes, GBR = German blue rams

this is the tank tank (shop)

its, if i can remember 12" x 12" by 13"

so its a cube shape =/

thnx

The tank in the link will be too small for both species. I would get the Apistogramma cacatuoides because they are easier to keep and breed.

In that size tank I would get Siamese flying foxes and not the normal flying fox. The Siamese is smaller and more peaceful.

A common bristlenose or a peckoltia should be fine :)

damn =(

ive already got 2 GBR's and a flying fox ;(

hey
this is the cube, the dwarf puffers are in a new tank

this tank is 20gallons =/

i thought you needed 20gal minimum for GBR's aswell :(

i hate my tank more and more lol

If you already have the blue rams and flying fox, then just stay with them.

To work out the volume of water in the tank
measure Length x Width x Height in cm
divide by 1000
equals volume in litres

When measuring the height, measure from the top of the gravel to the top of the water level. If you have big rocks or driftwood in the tank, remove them before measuring the height.
