Ok so my 2 new crowntails arrived yesterday. 1 male and 1 female - the male is in my 10gallon at the moment in a big tub type thing so my other male cant get to him - I have dividers in the post and on the way!
The female went into my community tank, its about 35gallons and has 7 adult guppies, 6 guppy fry in floating breeder box - will be released soon - 3 neons and 4 corys. The female is doing perfectly in there, she swims around with the guppies and rushes over to see me when I go in the same room  I have taken to hand feeding her as the greedy guppies snatch up the pellets! So I get a pellet to stick to my finger and put it just above water surface and she pecks it off my finger! Its sooo cute!
Im hopefully going to breed the crowntails when I get everything up together, I need a heater, sponge filter etc.
BUT!!! I want more girls in the community tank! Ive read I cant keep less than 4 together, so could I add another 3 do you think? Or even another 1 so there would only be 2?
It would be nice to say get a different coloured female crowntail so I could breed her with the goth male and have a mix of colours in the fry.
So basically, whats the minimum amount of females I could add and whats the maximum amount I could add?
Thanks :)

hmmm thats tough, your tank seems pretty much at capacity now, the only way I could really forsee adding more females is to rehome some of the fish you already have, you don't want to overstock your tank. The "usual" rule for fishkeeping is 1 gallon of water per 1 inch of fish.

At capacity? The tank looks practically empty to me... its 125 litres. Thats a shame I really wanted more females in there!

hmmm, actually doing the math back, I was wrong... sorry, lol. You could probably manage 3-4 more girls, but that would be it! And make sure they have lots of hiding places :good:
