Can one single bronze corydora catfis live by himself with 3 red wag platies and 3 mickey mouse platies? The cory cat i want has been in the petstore with these types of fish by himself for over 7 months now and i thought maybe he can live in my tank? Will he still be happy?

nope he probably will not be happy, corys are shoaling fish and need company of the same species preferably to be happy,4 minimum,6+ is preferred.

He'll probably survive, but he won't be happy, at all :(

Hi joselaz5780 :)

If your tank has enough room to support more fish, then by all means, buy that little cory. Bronze corys are C. aeneus, which is probably the most easy to find corydoras, and you can buy him a friend at some point. Better you have him than someone who doesn't even realize that they have a schooling fish and makes him spend forever by himself.

I just bought him and he's doing just fine for now, he is swimming around a lot and eats normally, i will buy him another friend in about two weeks or so, maybe less!

How big is your tank? :)

Good luck with him/her and getting some friends for it,more the merrier :good:

so i can have around 3 cory catfish in my 10 gallon aquarium with 6 platies right?

You should do fine with some more, at least 4.
