Well I have had them both for 2 weeks and every day they seem to get larger and larger (well only slightly each day but they look huge) I know they are not constipated (sp?) Because I see them poo alot. Could they be pregnant?

they get ripe.

and only if theyre both girls, lol. they could be just fat though

Yes I am positive that they are females they have rounded dorsal fins and the dorsal fins are not extended.

I will try fasting them for a bit and see if it goes down.

Also just in case, seen as there is no bubble nest in the tank would the fry just come out free swimming.

Hi SimonA :)

I don't think you have anything to worry about. If they are female gouramis, they will just naturally have a round belly area.

One of the easiest ways to tell the difference between male and female gouramis, both regular and dwarf varieties, is to look down at them from above the tank. The males have a slim figure that tapers from the head to the tale, but the females have a rounded middle which then tapers toward the tail. If you had one of each, the difference would be clear.

However, if they do have eggs, it won't hurt them at all if they do not breed. :D

Hi Final Dynazty :)

Here's a thread that shows the difference in colors of the male and female gouramis:

In this thread, Chewy's gourami has typical female coloring, but she is young. When she matures, she will have a higher and fuller body she has here. Rain's male is mature and has the orange coloration you are thinking about. :D

Notice the red throat area.

Pair Male Below

Notice that the male has the extended dorsal fin.

And red throat area (I think there might of been some red light but males do have reddish-orange throats. Or it is very mature)

You Can really see the extended dorsal fin there and it is more pointed.

Another male female situation this time the male is on the right hand side you can easily see the difference in the throat area.

I have done a lot of research on sexing pearl gourami.
