Hello, i noticed something was up with my Bronze corys.
One of them had a little white lump on one of his fins at on his back, and 3 of the others had what i can only describe as 'stringy bits' on their barbles. I put them in my hospital tank (found a new use for it instead of the puffer, as its coming in handy).
I couldnt get a pic of the fluffy bits, but i could get a pic of the white lump:

Could you suggest any medication? I first thought it was white spot, so i medicated that, and when i noticed the fluffy bits i medicated fungus, but one of the other bronze cories doesnt seem to have any of this on him so i left him in the tank.
Its hard to describe the fluffy bits though, it was on some of the fins too, but it isnt like normal fungus i've seen before, so maybe it isnt?

Thanks for your help. I am going to go get some melafix tomorrow as i've been told its a general treatment for fish so i hope this will help them if i cant identify the problem.
Cheers :) Sorry if i cant explain it any better.

EDIT: Ok, not sure if the fluffy is there any more, but it seems like some of the fins are a bit 'flakey' is this fin rot?

the picture posted looks like a car pox to me
but i'm not even sure if corys can get carp pox.

is the lum still there?
is it hard or soft to the touch?

I cant tell, and there is no way i'd be able to get close to it. I dont want to stress him out.
How can i treat it?
Also, any ideas on the flakey/fluffy fins?

the flakey/fluffy fins
would you say it looks like cotton wool, or more like mucus?

Hard to say really. It just seems flakey. Might it be fin rot, but instead of fin rot where the rot goes in a line down to the base of the fin, this seems to be at the edges (hard to describe).
Would melafix treat both the possible carp pox (or what ever it is if it isnt that) and the possible fin rot?
I have the following meds: white spot and mouth fungus/velvet.

Melafix will treat fungus but not columnaris and it will treat fin rot
carp pox is incurable and non threatening, just unsightly.

to try and help you decide what your fish has suggest checking out the following link for a good diagnosis chart.

Cheers Wolf. I'll buy some melafix and add it to the hospital tank and the main tank also incase there is any unseen finrot in there. I'll also add columnaris/fungus treatment to the hospital tank.
As for the Carp pox, i've read is the fish equivalent to herpes, is it transferable from fish to human if i touched the area?
