Im a little confused with whats wrong with my corys, i know a few weeks back wilder told me it could be enthecemia however you spell it, so ive been treating with anti internal bacteria no 9 by interpet, now this stuff worked great on my swollen female bn but its not doing alot for the corys.

Now here is the strange thing the corys show no signs of illness they are still breeding regularly and eating plenty infact eating everything in sight, so could this be a external bacteria problem and what meds should i try

thanks. :good:

Septicemia hard to cure once its progressed.
I would go in with another round of anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
But to be honest I doubt it will do much if it hasn't done much the first time round.
Uk meds are not that strong will only cure mild bacterial infections.

I think its only mild what my corys have it isnt advanceing and after looking at a couple of acticles with pictures on the internet, they are nowhere near the stages of some of the fish on the articles, is their another med i can try apart from interpet no9 thanks.

There esha 2000.
Fluranol by jbl but it knocks your benefical bacteria in the filter.

Ok thanks i think ill try esha 2000 next, the interpet seems to be stopping it from advancing but its not curing it i want rid, how come it has not affected other fish in the tank my plecs are fine showing no signs of any illness, and as i say the only sign of illness in the corys is that they are slight red and you can see the veins are slightly raised upon close inspection

Corys are more prone to bacterial infections that why you have to keep the subsrate clean.
The other fish must have a good immune system.

I'm glad Wilder knows what enthecemia means. I was thinking Emphysema the lung disease and was trying to work out how fish would get that.

lol yeah i was way out it seemed i was saying the correct thing at the time
