Just caught all my fish crowded into the corner of the tank while two of my Cory's were dancing with each other under them, sticking side my side.

I presume this is mating behaviour? One had it's anal fins clamped into a point below and all the fish were following them presumably eating the eggs?

The temperature fluctuations is what encourages mating I heard? People have told me you can drop the temperature during a water change to imitate a downpour but I haven't tried it. My tank gets up to about 27-28 on a hot day (especially recently), even when I open all the windows and doors, then drops to 25ish at night. Would this be something to of caused it?

Will be very chuffed if they are breeding :)

It does sound like breeding, But if the fish are eating the eggs the chances of having any babies is very slim. Most corys lay eggs on the glass rather than on the floor or on plants.

The drop in temp tends to happen when you do a water change with slightly colder water but a drop from 28 to 25 I doubt would do it as it would still be warm water.

Not too fussed about babies. Let nature take it's course. Good protein for the rest I guess. Just nice to see natural behaviour in a tank.

Ohyes, Really good water and all that if your fish is breeding. Nice to see :p

I've been really lucky and never had any problem with water quality *touch wood*.
I actually thought at one point my API testing kit was broken as it never read anything different so I did get it tested else where aha.
I do use RO water though, and the 260L is filtered by a Fluval 406 so I guess that helps along with 30-40% water change every two weeks.
