Hi Everyone!

Some of you might have come across my question last month about getting rid of Hydra. I'm still trying to decide on the best way! So today's question is - how bad is copper for Corydoras? I have 4 sterba's corys in my tank, and i know that they're sensitive to copper. Thing is, so's Hydra and of all the ways I've looked at a good dose of copper based fishmedicine should get rid of this multiheaded problem in the easiest way.
But! What about my lovely fishes!
Whats the best way, do you think - should I take out the corys into a hospital tank, treat the main tank and then pop them back in? How long should I wait before i put them back in? Can I expect the carbon filter to clean the water of copper well enough to be safe, or do i need to do a series of big water changes to dilute the copper. Or worse, once copper has been in the tank does it mean i can't ever put my little fish back in?
the hydra are stopping me from carrying on stocking my tank cos if i can't find a chemical way to get rid of them then i'll have to go for a 3 spot gourami to eat 'em and i need to leave space for it just in case (but then, y'see i don't really want one cos he could pick on everyone else!)
driving me crazy!
thanks for any help. My corys will be v. grateful!
love

I've been told that carbon in a filter when you are medicating will just suck up all ya medication and wont actually treat the tank. I treated hydra by cutting down on feeding and frequesnt water changes :)
