Cory With Swim Bladder No Improvement...

Hi all i posted about 5 days ago, have a cory with swim bladder i was going to treat with Maracyn-two but found my lfs had kanacyn- followed directions and treated for 5 days, no improvement!!

should i re-treat for 5 days or is it no hope? do i need to consider euthanizing... such a horrible thought! i have given him a little bit of peas but dont think he's eating... its been about 8 days since he first showed signs

would really appreciate any advice!!!

Carry on with the meds to give him a chance, but to be honest it dosn't look good, good luck.

should i increase the dose? at the moment instructions are to treat every other day, but read one website that said i could treat daily? have you used this medicine before?

No can't get it over here what the mg of the medicine, well it could finish him off, so it up to you, but at this moment in time there isnt much to lose.

150 mg of kanamycin sulfate per capsule - company is aquatronics. i treat 1 capsule for 10 gallon every other day (3 total in 5 days).

should i continue trying to feed peas or is his system best left alone? dont think he's hungry from meds but how long can he last without food?

No i wouldn't add it every day that quite a high dose.
Also not a good sign if he's not eating.
Just try some of his favourite foods.
