well some of u mite remember me telling u about a cory i got from my grandads because it was getting bullied by 2 skunk botias and was in a right state.well it was doing great in my tank, its fins were growing back and he was getting quite fat until today! hes sort of rolling on to his back and loseing control of him self in the corner of the tank.i cant treat him as im going away for the night and not coming back till tomorrow night so i cant go to the fish store.i think it may be dropsy but i dont know what dropsy is :/ any info would be great thx :D

If he's finding alot of difficulty in maintaining balance/staying upright he's probably got a swim bladder disorder; there can be many different causes of swim bladder disorders including internal bacterial infections, water quality problems and genetic issues etc; i have also heard over-medicating a tank can also lead to it or medicating for very long periods of time although the most common causes are the bacterial and water stat one.
What are your water stats i.e ammonia/nitrate/nitrite?

Yes i agree it sounds like swim bladder do you over feed as that can lead to swim bladder problems and also a lot of dried foods can cause it, try him on some shelled peas to see if he improves and dapnia will help him to digest his food.

Try feeding him a cooked, shelled pea. It could be constipation and that will solve his problem. I went throught that for 3 weekends in a row with the first peppered cory we got. After the 3rd time, he has been fine. It would be best if you could isolate him somehow and then feed him. If you can't do that, you can feed the whole tank some peas. All the fish will love them. Just make sure to put enough in that some gets to the bottom.
