I have 6 bronze cories. My question is do cories clean algea from the tank?

2nd Question is that my cory some times flip what does it mean. My tank is 29 gal tank all stats are fine. What does there ehavior mean?

Couldn't tell you what the rolling over is, unless it looks like flicking?

Corries don't eat algea as the main part of their diet; they need something meatyer for protien, though they will sometimes eat it. You will need to give them sinking catfish pellets, as if enough flake (or other food) makes it to the bottom to support them, you are likely to be overfeeding

It is the sign of overfeeding then. But they told me to feed them daily.

You will have to tell us what you mean by flip.

I have some albino corys and they spend the day sifting through the gravel for food that the other fish dont hoover up. I occasionally drop in a catfish pellet or two, but when I started putting food in for them regularly I got a slight sign of nitrite, so I did a water change and decreased feeding. Then water stats were normal then, so be careful not to add too much extra for these guys. Every so often a cory will rush up to the surface for a bubble of air and then go back down to sifting. If they do this a lot it means the water quality is poor. Sometimes they do a bit of swimming to and fro, but their normal behaviour seems to be sifting the gravel.

Its the plecs (I have a few albiino bristlenose plecs) that do the algae. They also need a bit of vegetable matter. They are brill at algae but they poop a lot and that causes its own problems!

I mean by flip is that they swim on the back and there mouth is toward the surface. It mean that they only search for food in the gravel but they dont eat algea.
