My peppered cory is 2 and a half years old. He is in a five gallon with a Julii cory (I know, too small but that is what I get for listening to pet stores). He is in on his side right now, but he was rellay active earlier today. He acted like he had something on him because every so often he flicks around. Now he is breathing slowly and on his side. I did a 50% water change two days ago. I use water conditioner and stress coat. What do I do? Is he too far gone? :(

I think he is a bit too far gone. Might be able to save him, though. Do you have a hospital tank? What temperature is your 5gal at now? I suspect fluke worm is at work here...

I do not have a hospital tank with me, I do have a gallon tupperware container. I have some at home but I am on college campus right now. The temperature is 70 degrees, I am upping the temperature because I believe that helps with fighting off illnesses and things? I know they like cooler temperatures than most tropical fish. This morning he is upright and eating normally but he has a little trouble moving. He seems just like he was yesterday morning. I had another cory about a year ago and had the same thing. this peppered cory showed the same signs a year ago, but he recovered. My julii cory seems to be doing just fine.
