well i think my tanks not far off been cycled all the fish seem fine apart from one cory who seems like hes had enough!!
he just sits on the bottom all day while all the others are sniffing around for food he never bothers and now hes started to drift onto his side!!
i havnt got an hosptial tank set up is there anything else i can do for him???
also what do they eat? ive seen them eating fish flakes but not very often!! do i need to get hem pellets? i also have plecs and a clown loach

You haven't said how long you have had this fish, is it a new addition. Sometimes they get injured in transport and just never get estabilished, as you have other which are fine this might be it. I have albinos and after shutting off the tank lights I drop in a few brine shrimp pellets. Scott

Your cycling with Corys!!!! They need good clean water. You clearly have done no research on your fish not even what they eat!
I doubt there is anything you can do for him execpt water changes and hope!

You say you think its not far off cycled. What are the stats? How long has it been running?

i got some BAD advice from my local fish store!! read this link (http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=185153)
i did a water check tonight and my readings were

ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 10
ph 7.8

10 ppm is the upper limit for nitrates. Think of nitrates as ferlilizer it is a form of nitrogen. Levels of 10 ppm are sufficient for the support of single cell algae which turns the water green like pea soup. The fish can stand higher levels but it puts them under stress. You need a bigger, healthier colony of nitrifing bacteria. You have a young tank which is not yet established. You need a partial water change but I would not disturb the filter your bacterial colony needs to grow. You haven't mentioned what type of filter you have. Scott

How many gallons or litres is the tank.
Sounds like the cycle took its toll on the cory.
All there is left to do for him is a bacterial med if you can issolate the cory.

You have been given bad advice as no way should a clown loach be kept on its own, they need to be kept in groups of no less than three.

i got the filter with the tank its a fluvel 3+ and the tank is 126 litres 27.5 gallons!!
the cloan loach is on loan! my brother is has just goten hold of a 55 gallon tank so when hes cycled he will be going to a new home!!
