I just got today cory's 4 for £5.00. Well I thought thats a bargin £1.25 each, but i'm having problems ID'ing the fish. I know the second latin name begins Pu........... It's not a pygmy or peppered I know that for sure.

Is there anyone out in the vast TFF members that can put me onto a site, or give me some info on them.

Thanks for looking.

Was it "punctatus" on the lable? I bought some a couple weeks ago and they looked just like yours, the store had them labled as "punctatus" but it turns out that they actually are corydoras leucomelas. They're cute little fellas!

I don't think those are corydoras punctatus in that fishbase.org photo. This is the entry planetcatfish has for the punctatus.

I think Polardbear was correct that the fish you own are the leucomelas.

Yep, those are c. leukomelas. The common name is blackfin cory. I have some and have found them to be extremely hardy, exceptionaly adaptable and full of character.
