Cory Groups

my friend just set up a 55 gallon tank and they have 2 albino corys and a brown colored cory should i tell them that they need 4 more albinos and 5 more brown colored corys or should i just keep it like it is i dont know what to do should there be groups of six

Most of the albino cories for sale are a colour morph of the bronze cory, so they're probably the same species and will shoal together anyway; but she should get at least another three of one colour or the other (or a mix).

The more the merrier with cories, and your friend has plenty of room (I hope anyway; what else in in there?) Does the tank have sand for them?

just realized he has gravel 6 neons 6 black neon tetras 1 red tailed shark 5 sarpae tetras

Yes, he's got room for more cories then. He could just push some sand to the back and sides and put a patch of sand in for the cories; they do need a bit of sand to dig in, IMO.

Any playsand is fine as far as I know; I have the Argos stuff and it's very nice.

Any would be ok - aquarium sand from the pet shop, or some play sand from Argos/B&Q/Homebase etc would be fine whichever they choose make sure they wash it well so all the scummy stuff and dust comes out of it first
