Hello all,

I have two cory cats (one just died) and the two left are starting to go shiney, sory of metalicy by their head/front gills? Is this normal? I have had quite a few fish die recently and im worried ive got something in my tank! I recently treated the tank with an antifungal after my mollies had white growths on them- does anyone know if this could have caused it? Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Kim :)

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Columnaris is bacterial so you need to use in the uk myxazin by waterlife or maracyn if you are in the united states.

What type of cory are they.

Any sign of flicking and rubbing, darting, laboured breathing, excess mucas.

Hi 8534kim :)

What kind of corys do you have? If you aren't sure, just post a picture in the corydoras section and we will help you identify them. Some corys have a naturally metallic look about them especially when the light hits them in a certain way.

BTW, how long has your tank been set up and what temperature do you keep the water at?
