cory catfish sand

[freshwater]

i just looked at my albino cory cats and noticed that when they sift throught the sand it goes through there mouths and out of there gills just wondering if this is normal?

I've never paid that close attention to my Cories to notice but it sounds normal to me.

Very normal, they are just sifting through it for morsels of food. I've my angels do it too.
