Cory cat fish missing eye

so I added some new fish to my tank today, what I had previously was a Betta and 3 Cory cats who get along great, I’ve had many ghost shrimp in there too but are constantly replacing them, so today I added 3 new ghost shrimp and two of these fish (I’m completely blanking on the name) because I heard they were calm and went well with betas, when I check on them an hour later, one of my Cory cats is missing an eye! He’s alive for now but was it my shrimp or these fish who did it? I removed the fish for now, should I also remove the shrimp?
