could anyone help me out i want to breed my corries and i would like itvif somone could give me a step by step guide on doing this like how many males to a female things like that.
yes you did it was very helpful i just got a little confused on the tepreture changing and can my cories be conditined with the correct foods in a comunity tank or would they need separated.
My pandas cories bred for the past year with successful cories coming out after some time and joining the main shoal. I had 9 survive to adulthood with no interference by me in the span of about 18 months. I since added a Bolivian ram, and no fry have survived.
So, the point above is correct. They can (but not always will) spawn in a community environment. The issue is that in a community, the eggs are gobbled up rather quick. If the female is really good at hiding them, a few may survive to hatch, and then if you have lots of hiding places, the fry could grow up to adulthood, but the odds are not good and the ones who do survive would be very limited in number.
i am going to get another male tomorro and i will move them into my breeding tank to mate i feed blood worm frozen every saturday they get alot of it i had them a month now is there any chance they may be ready for breeding i only have started cyclin the breed tank now so it may take a while before they can be moved they seem to sit in a T position at times is this breeding?
If you are looking at breeding corys, the general ratio is 2M:1F. You will probably have better success with a group of 6 than a group of 3.
NO. 'Sitting' in a "T" position means nothing. Its just how they are sitting. The "T" position is rather quick when its breeding, and you'll see a flurry of activity before and after it.
