Been doing a lot of searching and everything points to 12 hours of lights for plants. My question is when? I normally/like to have the light on during the night. If having the light on for 12 hours during the night, will it get enough non-light time during the day? The tank is not in a heavily light room, but its not a pitch dark room either. any suggestions would be great!

firstly i would cut the photoperiod down to 8-10hrs.
Even with only a bit of daylight plants can photsynthesise, i notice my stems growing towards the window in the morning even thought they were 8ft away lol.
