Fish Fanatic
I know this sounds stupid, as cork floats like ducks on water, but wondering if there's any way to weigh it down so that it can be submerged in the tank rather than floating?
I got a right bargain the other day at the lfs, a mis-marked piece of cork bark (huge) was priced up at just £1.50 - the guy weighed it and said it should have been £13.50, but to his credit gave it to me for £1.50.
Basically I've been looking to build a ledge in the tank, by drilling suckers into pieces of wood and sticking them to the side of the tank. I've done it once already with a smaller piece of bogwood and it really looks great, adding dimensions to the tank. The plec and the corys love to sit on it - it's like a safe haven for them.
I just wanted to see if I could do something similar with the cork bark, as it's a beautiful piece of wood. If I couldn't make a submerged ledge then I'd like to use it for something. Any ideas?
PS. It's about 40cm x 20cm.
