cheers thanx.

hey kj hehe yeah i just got my answer after i went to check on my cichlids. pleco discs hehe! bingo. this should tie her over till i get some nori yes? ive got 4 discs in atm and her+ bi colour blenny are working them over atm!

is this ok?

I wouldn't use that for long. They are made for freshwater fish. I imagine saltwater's dietary requirements are different

Have you tried mysis shrimp? or spirulina flake food

I've read to try this:
Crush a clove of garlic into a cup of tank water. Let it soak for an hour or so. drain the garlic, add the food, let it soak for another hour. Feed it to the fish and watch them go to town. Most fish LOVE garlic and it can spur an appettite in finnicky eaters.

I would not worry alot about your Coral Beauty. He will eat whatever is introduced when he gets hungry. They are grazers so will pick at the algae all over your tank. I have put nori in my tank, and my Coral Beauty nips at it some, but my tang and my foxface like that more. I use Ocean Nutrition formula one and two and my coral beauty likes that.

ok so my lil sweetheart has begun developing ich spots today the poor darling :(. im going to go and buy some treatment which is reef and invert safe tommorrow but its 10:30pm atm. she started at bout 7pm and the ich has gradually yet slowly begub to be more aparent.

ive turned off the tank lights as ive heard this slows the reaction.

now ive heard covering the food in garlic can cause them to cheer up and even fix the problem. so far she is still eating the algae off the walls of the tank, is this a good thing?

also what sort of garlic are people refering to? minced garlic etc? we dont seem to have garlic juice here in australia so i duno what to use any ideas?

how long will it take for the ich to get real bad on my beauty? will she be ok till tommorrow morning when i get the medication?

i have melafix and pimafix here which stoped an outbreak in my f/w tank but its been unused for a few months and ive heard bad reports so im weary bout it!

i changed 2 buckets of water tonight. its a 4ft tank, anything else i can do?
