In my 10gal... I suspect one of my bettas might have a fungal problem. Read that using coppersafe would help w/ it and since I have some thought I'd give it a shot.

after putting a dose in, all of a sudden planaria that were apparently living in the filter are getting blown out and my bettas of course are just loving it (mini feeding frenzy).

Is this stuff really safe to use? (Nothing else is in the tank other than the bettas and plants) Also saw that it can be harmful to some plants. Exactly which plants?

When you say fungus do you mean columnaris.

I'm not sure actually. She has slight small whitish stuff on her.. just past her head. I'm not even sure if it's something to worry about. It hasn't gotten any bigger and the betta acts totally normal.
I just read that adding coppersafe or aquarisol (same thing I think?) will help get rid of fungus? Which is why I added the coppersafe. Figured it wouldn't hurt to try some to see if it did anything.

I have enough meds if it starts looking like something else though :)

Does the patch just look bleached out.
If columnaris bactrerial meds, I would rather use a bacterial med than copper as most fish don't tolerate copper to well.
