Copepods seem like an excellent food source for bumble bee gobies, and I am considering harvesting them in a spare 10 gallon. They seem like a perfect food source for for the bees as they are very similar to something they would eat in the wild (aside from being a saltwater creature). So would the copepods cause any negative health effects to the bees or any other fish I may feed them to?

In theory, sounds ideal. Naturally, you don't want your fish eating only one food item: at the very least, augment with, say, frozen bloodworms. One thing though. My bumblebees showed no interest at all in frozen copepods (frozen "marine plankton"). Of course, they never showed any interest in frozen daphnia or brine shrimps, but at live versions of both, so this may be irrelevant.

Cheers,

Neale

I wont be feeding them just the copepods, I feed them bloodworms, tubifex, brine shrimp, ocean plankton, and sometimes daphnia. I was just wondering since its hard to feed them sometimes that the copepods may be a food source that they may take readily in addition to the foods already being fed.
