Coolie Loach

Rather than trying to find as many species of fish to house in your aquarium, you're best off keeping the fish in the right shoals. You need some more corydoras, seeing as they like to live in shoals, best keep them in groups of at least 3.

However, kuhli loaches shouldn't give you any trouble in your tank compatibility wise. They tend to hide through out the day, and during the night you shouldn't have many fish bothering them at all. Kuhlis too however, like to be in groups. So if you do believe you have room for them, get a group of at least 5

ya i know bout the corys but ther my grandpas he died so i toook some of his fish and one of the 3 corys died so now i hav 2 and i just hav been hesitant on getting another one and yes i think i have room for a coolie loach probly not 5 though but iv heard they need to be wit 6

You shoudn't keep a tiger barb in a 2.5g tank. They're also very active fish and should be kept in a group think the minimum is a 30g?
shure someone will point out what tank size is recomended

coreys like company of other coryes to so maybe you should put him in your main tank

I'd recomend putting your betta for your 2.5g

yes im moving my cory to my big tank and getting rid of the tiger barb but i was justwondering if a coolie loach would go in ill try to give u my tank states lots of rocks and caves and hiding places few plants im in the process of puting live and getting fake out so itll take some time for a lot of plants to be ther gravel 6 hrs of light a day each cory 3 in angel 5 angel 4 suckrmouth 3 feeder guppies 2 each fancy tails 1.5 each shark 3 will be 6 hopefully in a year or so betta full grown so thats roughly 30 or so inches for adult size fish but ther not all adults yet but i dont cont the corys and suckermouth so u lose bout 9 inches but i leave 2-3 inches for ther fesis and everything so and the feeder guppies shoukld die in this year so i hav by the way i go approx. 6 inches of fish but i hav extremely good aeration and overfilter by 20 gallons so i can go over in fish long as i do large water changes so i could get 5 coolie loaches but does anyboyd know if they need sand or if u can mix sand and gravel or if they just arent compatible in my tank hope this helps if anydoy needs to know anything leme know thnks erised if i get more positive feedbak i might go get some

it is true that khullies love sand but they'll be fine with gravel, they're suprisingly strong and can still bury themselves in lighter gravel or often use an item and dig under it to form their own cave. As for numbers, i was told to get no less than 3 so i got 4 and love the little guys. it's great to see them hanging in the stems of plants or just in a cave and they're good workers, cleaning up any excess food.

You'll find that they can grow an awfull lot and become very large but this is still good cos they they still ain't that big and don't really take any room in the tank. They'll also come out in the day a lot more as they get bigger.

I would say that you could get khullie loaches easy, the other fish will doubtfully even take an interest in them.

ps. what's the deal with the barbs now cos that really is rather cruel to them bieng in such a small tank.
