That IS pretty! Albino bettas have pink eyes. You don't want that. They are genetically weak, have a weak immune system, and are very sensitive to light.

ooh...ok. mine has black eyes with a tiny blue spec in the corner. why do alot of bettas tend to have that? and i don't know if you can tell from the pic, but he has a very light tint of blue. like a baby blue or somethin. i love it! i've never seen a white betta that didn't look ugly cuz of specs of some other color or a nasty color on it's face or tail or sumthin. i'm so happy :D

White, although rare, is hard to make "ugly".

it's usually some off-color white that i see on bettas when i do see them. it's like they got freckles or something and it just really doesn't look good. well, in my opinion it doesn't ne way. i just love how clean the color is on silk.

thanks :D

i haven't set up his tank yet. (a sponge bob tank). i gotta wash it out good n stuff cuz just yesterday the betta that was in there died. (midnight, in my siggy)

ugh...i'm on other fish forums too, and someones siggy there says "small tanks, dyed fish-cry me a river: if you really want to make a difference, take it to congress"

i don't like the whole "dying fish" thing. i went to that website...it seems cruel. they don't do that to betta's, do they?

That looks like one EXPENSIVE betta. *drool*

Yours is very nice,my solid white one turned bright red on his anal fin. :grr:

Now that's a crowntail Steppy! Lovely aren't they?

Yours is mighty beautiful too.

No, Bettas aren't dyed. Mother Nature blessed them with beautiful colors.

i kno the colors are natural n all...but some seem too..."WOW" to be true. well, i took the fish from his little cup with blue-dyed water finally, and put him in the sponge bob tank. now i'm noticing a shiny, barely noticible pink on the body and an incredibly light blue behind his head.

btw, he doesn't eat. is this normal since he's new? he goes for the pellets...eats it, spits it, eats it, spits it....about 5 times...then stops when it finally falls to the bottom of the cage. now he isn't interested in it at all! i tried flakes, but it's like he doesn't even see them.
