I have:

2 Discus
5 Clown loach
13 Cories
3 Sparkling Gourami
6 Zebra Danio (cyclin fish)
2 Angel fish

The Clown loach are going away soon, and i need fish to cheer my tank up

how bout a large school of Harlequin Rasbora like 20 or so? And some(10?)cardianl/Rummynose tetra

I'm going to spend $100 to make this tank lively again :)

How about black phantom tetras instead or cardinals/rummynose? The males display to one another which is wonderful to watch and the angels wont eat them :p. I like the idea of the rasboras though.

Any tetra not small enough for the Angels to eat, and not a fin-nipper, would fill in the tank nicely.

How long have you had the Discus? They usually don't do well for long in crowded tanks and in such low numbers.

Discus i have had for....4 months roughly -_-

Cardinal/rummynose tetra wont be eaten as far as i know and cardinal tetras are in the discus' natural environment too...so i'm going that that side

As you can see, there are not much schooling fish in my tank, maybe the cute cuddly cories

Also i would add more discus soon, as i can get them for around $13-20, just waiting for red ones, mine are blue turq, there are some yellow in stock but...

Actualy I've had angels eat cardinals... the discus won't mind them though. The black phantoms I suggested are also shoaling fish. Rummynose should work though they are quite small.

my discus are not that big right now but..come to think of it, my discus turns black sometimes..at least once a day? anyone kno why?

So compatible? Jut to make sure

4 Discus (6 is possible)
6 Zebra Danios
20 Harlequin
10 Cardinal Tetra (20 is possible)
3 Sparlking gourami lurkin in the plants
13 Cories

1 common pleco (gonna trade away)
5 clown loach (gonna trade away)
2 Angel (gonna trade away)

Are cardinal tetras harder to keep then neons? do they get ick easily like neons?

You're Discus is changing to black most likely because of stress, coming back to my point on their numbers. That really sounds like too many fish, overstocked tanks are also not a place for discus, as they really need pristine water.

In my experience cardinals are quite tough, much hardier then neons, but in a past thread on it, it turned out many people have had an opposite experience. Safe to say they both need excellent conditions.

If you are keeping discus healthy you shouldn't have a problem caring for cardinals.

Personaly, I agree that they are hardier than neons simply because neons are mass-produced which has resulted in weaker immune systems and more susceptibility to disease. Wild neons are hardier once acclimatised but before that they are very fragile and they need specific water parameters. Cardinals are somewhere inbetween because they have not yet been as majorly inbred and corrupted like the neons have.

What size tank is this BTW? Don't add any more fish until you've taken those you plan to get rid of out.

um currently i have:

2 discus
13 cories
3 sparkling gourami

2 angel fish (1 inch wide)
1 pleco (3 inch)
5 Zebra danio (moved 3 away so i can add other fish)
2 Clown Loach (1 goes away each week)

Move the remaining danios with the first 3 - they realy would appreciate staying together as a shoal.

edit: umm... what happened to the 6th danio?

What size tank are the fish in?

55 gallons, i moved 3 to the owner..then the other 5 after

i gave the 6,7,8th to the new owner

Oh I see now :p Well once you've moved everything out and put the rasboras/tetras in you realy won't have room for any other fish (especialy seeing as you should add more discus)... I was going to suggest a bristlenose plec or 2 and some more gouramies :p
