I'm so lost as to what exactly these fish are...other than Cichlids

I guess we'll see how they grow over the next few months and I'll keep you guys updated ???? I'm going to leave my tank the way it is for now, but I think I'm going to rehome my tetras first. They're the smallest and most picked on. Although the tank is peaceful for the most part. The Tiger Barbs do more damage than the Cichlids.

Short body pink convicts ;)

Not all Jelly Bean parrot's are dyed. Most are, but they had some come in at our lfs and they were pink, and some were black.

What about Discus?

with convicts, that would be a costly mistake, in more than one way

Too be honest with 6 convicts you are 110% likely to get at least one pair, if that happens and they spawn then you will find a lot of dead or very battered fish, Your tiger barbs wouldn't stand a chance,

if you want tankmates for them i would research Jack Dempseys, Blue Acaras, Firemouths as well as other american cichlids that grow around 5-8inches
as well as your medium sized catfish such as Pictus, Pimelodellas, Raphaels, bumblebee cats, Ancistrus etc.

Thanks for the reply and help.

I've given away my tetras and danio. The barbs, angel and ropefish are next. Especially since I found my ropefish eating one of the cichlids this morning

I really wish the people that work at this store would have said something about mixing these fish. He's done it before to me with puffers who ate half my tetras. I went back and told him and he said "yeah, they'll do that" You think I'd have learned

hmm, what size are the convicts? unless they are really small my personal opinion would be that your convict died and then the ropefish found it, I have 2 reedfish which have been in a tank with 2 really small flying fox and they haven't touched them, although they could eaasily swallow the foxes whole if they wanted

It was one of the smaller ones. Barely an inch, if that. The ropefish has eaten our tetras before. I was told it was a predator fish. Stupid to get it.

Ok. So all I have now are the 5 Convicts and a pleco thing. My apple snails were all eaten and I sold all the other fish. And I've switched to sand substrate, too.

Would I be able to put Corys in with them?

I'm lost, and would like to know what some of you have kept successfully with Convicts? ????

corys would almost certainly be killed off by the convicts in time, i would look into some of the catfish that i posted in my last post

I have kept ancistrus, spotted and striped raphaels cats and blue acara with convicts
