i've never seen or heard anything like this, but my friend got a 75 gallon aquarium which he converted to a terrarium. It is half full (about 35 gallons) I was wondering if it would be possible to have a pair of convicts in the tank with a water snake. The snake lives half its life in the water and half out of it. Would convicts tear it apart? i told him i thought that if a pleco could get by in a tank with cons then a snake should be able to. But i dont know if they will be able to bite through the snake. It is about 8 inches long now and will get to be 3 feet eventually. sorry i didnt know where to post this! thanks for your help

i would get two females and put nthem together, they'll be fine :)

not if cleaned properly and with adequate water changes. You think a con can bite through a snake's scales? The snake is no way as fast as a convict so it's pretty one sides. if he gets two females the snake should be alright?

Depending on how big the snake is,

I think the con will swim away with its tail between its legs ! (but then how does it swim ? lol)

I wouldnt mix the two myself anyways

i told him bad idea to get a pair but he wants to get aggressive fish that will kill everything. (some people are into that sorta hting i guess haha. I will give you all an update and pictures of his terrarium.

From a reptile lovers point of view, the cats will destroy the snake. I have had Bermese Pythons as long as 25 feet. When in the water they are vulnerable to all sorts of predators. best to leave it alone.
