The Youngest Ive seen so far in breeding convicts this are my F2 generation of breeding them. My Lil babies are having babies are having babies.

These fish are barely 3 months old, but there so cute....

The Mom is about ___________ This big Dad is about ___________(with Fins)

So far the mom is fanning them. When they hatch there going to the spare 5 gallon tank to raised them. When they hit the 1 month old mark the parents are gonna get sold maybe here or to a LFS. I already have 3 proven pairs right now.

Anybody wanna make a reserve already? :p

Thats All! :flex:

Also to people I take breeding cons really serious. Why, I divide them into 3 groups. :)

Breeder
Pet-Store
Feeders

The one with nice coloring my LFS and I sell them to people who want to make hybrids out of them. The ones u see now are the Breeder ones. There not fully colorful yet but they will. So if anybody wants a pretty convict to make a hybrid PM Me. The feeders arent very nice there just dull. The Pet-Store ones have little color but not much.

The Grandparents were __________ when they had there first brood :hey:

omg, I didn't know they could breed when they are that young???
I have about 20 cons that are that size... they are together in a tank...

how can I see which ones could be a pair? (honestly I even have a problem sexing them, except the ones that have the orange glow on the belly)

I cant even give away convict fry. Luckily theres a local kid with a nice big gar that enjoys eating them up ;)

Duendecillo- Yeah they breed once they reach the 1 inch marker. Just careful even little there a very aggresive thing. I got many ways telling gender, the one I use most is the belly. As u see in the female she has a orange bellie meaning shes a female. In Jusis like right now. The males start developing a Bump on there head. Like u can see in the second pic. And by the wy there dorsal fin is.

Temps- The little colorful balls are gravel. He was moving them away from the spot were they want the fry to stay. Look at my male how he has a stone in his mouth.

Jeremy- Many people here want them as feeders here too. Mostly to Oscars. But out of a hundred fry only 20 are consider feeder fish. Most of mine are pet-store quality and breeder qualitie.Im planing on adding a juvi parrot fish in a 20 gallon with a female convict and a male convict. :shifty:

I wish i still had my cons, i gave them to a friend and hes like retarded at fish keeping :/ Im ganna try to get them back maybe

Those are some pretty cons
I wish I had room for a couple... maybe when I buy the bigger tank I'm saving up for, I can use my 29 gallon for them :shifty:

Well shes still guarding her eggs. I see a few white ones, but I also see that eyes are developing.

Thanks for the nice comments!
