Convicts And Red Jewel

Just wondering if anyone has had an experience keeping them together. I know the jewel is technically old world, but I've read on other sites that convicts make suitable tankmates. However I have not found anyone that has actually done it. My ph stays around 6.75.

Any feedback?

also wanted to add that it is a 55 gallon tank and currently I have 2 female convicts in it.
