Convicts/Africans

I have about a 140 gallon tank, and I recently made the tank look like it would inside of a lake, ton's of huge rocks covering the bottom with live plants in between the rocks, and caves. I bought 6 baby nickle sized convicts to add to the tank, (3 pink convicts, 3 striped convicts) and they look really cool going under rocks and coming out when other fish go by. But knowing how I have a Parrot Cichlid and several African cichlids, would the Convicts cause trouble? I have about 8 Tetras (I forget their name) inside of the tank that school together, they're silver with black lines, size of 50 cent pieces. And the African's don't bother the Tetras, if anything they hail them. But am I asking for trouble?
