Convict Tankmates

Hi, I have a 28 gallon tank and was thinking of getting convict cichlids. But I also wanted some glass catfish and a midnight catfish and tiger barbs. But I've heard convicts are very aggressive and I'm worried that the glass catfish in particular are too timid to be with the convicts. Could someone let me know if these species are compatible?

Convicts are very aggressive and even more so if they breed, you can't even think about adding anymore fish with them; they take over the tank. Definitely a no no with the glass cats.

red tailed shark is the only thing i can think of in that size tank. but im not even sure.

you would have options with a larger tank with tankmates

What if I got two females? Would they be less aggressive?

Yeh, Female Convicts are placid and much prettier

Actually you can be successful with just one male convict as they only really get aggressive is when they breed, they can really kill a fish then.
