I have a 20 GL? Its about 24" long and like 12" wide. Vut I have 2 convicts(pair) which I just bought. They are babies still and are only about 1" long...I want to have a catfish in there...even when they are spawning...Is there any? like a plecostomus or mayve a pictus(i have also heard of a striped rapheal ...are those tough?) -_-

Sadly i wouldn't reccomend anything for that tank... the breeding pair of cons will be the only thing for that tank and even then they should be in no less than a 30gal IMO. Pictus like to be in groups of atleast 3 and require a larger tank than that. I think your just gonna have to keep it a species tank. Not enough room for something to survive with Con parents.

I'ved been raising 5 convict fry in a rekord 70 and in past few days i moved them upstairs to my 30" 22gallon tank which already had 4 pim pictus, a butterfly fish and 4 scissor tails.

I'll probable move the scissor tails but I'll also be adding a number of L numbers in there.

oh there's also 5 banjo cats.

Once there's a dustingguised pair i'll take the rest back to the shop. Although I have a hunch that there all females as alot have goldy bellies. There all about 1inch now or just under.

I have read that a lot of the bottom feeders (plecos and catfish) will eat the eggs of other fish during the night when the fish are inactive. I don't know if this is true but it would make sense as a lot of bottom feeders are nocturnal.
