should we remove them? i was thinking maybe we should put them in our 15 g. if so is there any special way we should acclimate them and prepare the tank/filter so they dont get sucked up into it?
You can leave them with the parents for a while. When they start roaming the tank and the parents start showing aggression toward them (or you simply run out of room) you should move them. At the same time, there is no harm in moving them now if they are free swimming and feeding.
Fry tank is the easiest type - bare bottom, heater, sponge filter with an airpump.
That depends, the sooner you move them the sooner the parents will breed leaving you with more fry to deal with, if these are feeders thats fine but if they are pets you'll wish you had the room for different fish
thanks guys i managed to scoop up 17 i counted, and theres still tons to go i have them in a breeder net in th 15g, and i will put pantyhose over the filter once i let them out of the net. thanks for all the info guys. also i have fry powder food that i soak in water and then put into the aquarium.
