around a week and a half ago m convicts laid eggs for the fourth time, but they all got eaten by my recently passed oscar. Now I just looked around a rock cave and there are about 125 eggs on the under side of this cave. Last time my convicts eggs hatched i gathered up the babies and put them in a 25 gallonn tank and let them grow out and used them as feeders. I am thinking since my oscar died and all I have left is a red devil that is able to eat feeder fish at the time, should I let them grow out and sell some to my lfs and use the rest as feeders. My lfs is having to find a new distributor becuase their current one has not been selling them quality fish and I don't think they will have any convicts in stock for a while. is this a good idea?

WOW how did you get your fish to eat convict fry hahaha. I have tried in the past but not even my walking catfish would eat them. Anyway, you could sell them to the LFS but I doubt they will give you anything for them. It will also take at least 4-5 months for the fry to be a decent size to sell. In the past I have given away the fry, when they were around 3/4inches. So really its up to you, you could raise them , which is lots of fun, or feed them to your Red Devil, or just leave them in with the parents.

my oscar would eat anything. i made the mistake of keeping a peacock spiney eel with it, and one afternoon i walked downstairs and there was the eel sticking out of the oscars mouth. LOL.

Same, I came back from school and my tiger oscar had one of my female convicts sticking out of it's mouth.
