2 of my convicts which i thought were female have paired up and are gaurding eggs in the cornor of the tank :) most of the eggs are yellow and the rest are white what does this mean?should i do anything or just leave them?

Yellow ones are fertile and the white ones arent(parents will dispose of the white ones). Before you said the colour of the eggs i thought it could have been a possibility that they were both female that laid eggs together. Id leave them if they are in their own tank or in a very large tank with other fish.

the eggs had gone this morning i think my little plec ate them :( how often will a pair spawn?

i have 4 hungry piranha to deal with the fry :) i have moved the plec and the convicts are building a new nest :)
