Convict Cichlid In A 20 Gallon Tank

Do you think that it would be alright to keep a single Convict Cichlid in a 20 gallon tank or is that really going to be too small?

too small id say.

they reach 6" and seem to like to swim about alot.

How about a pair of Rainbow Cichlids, the fish index recommends 20 gallon, so would that be alright for 2?
