Hi,

I have a 55g/250L tank, with established groups of tiger barbs and rainbow fish tranferred from a smaller tank 2 months ago. Btw, my barbs chase each, not the other fish.

I recently added 1 female convict and 2 firemouth, along with two albino Bristlenose. All 5 newbies are only about 1.5inch, so quite young.

I still have a lot of inch per gallon to fill, but would like to finalise my stock now while everyone is young and small so that they group used to each other.

With the convict/firemouths being predominantly grey, I really am wanting something different coloured. Preferably around the 5-6" size. Wondered if anyone had suggestions?

My considerations so far are :

A pair of Angels - (have read that they might not mix with the barbs)
A pair of keyholes -(local stocks seem a bit dull, though would like the very light ones if I could find em)
A pair of Ellioti - (not sure if they would clash with the firemouth)
A single blue Acara - (might look too similar to the firemouths in grey body)
A pair of gold severums - (love these but concered they might grow too big)

alternatively, I may forget going for one or two larger fish and instead go for a school of something smaller. Ideally in this case, I think I'd like something white or cream coloured. But have no idea, other than say albino tiger barbs?

seeking suggestions ?
